Feijoa Cake







This Feijoa Cake is made with fresh feijoas from our garden. It is moist, sweet and it tastes of spices. The feijoa, sultanas and ginger give it a unique flavour.


We are blessed with a feijoa (pineapple guava) tree in our backyard that provides us with abundant fruits in autumn. I have never tried to cook this fruit until now. I've just discovered that Feijoa is well known in New Zealand and it is a versatile fruit that can be eaten with meat, as dessert, chutneys & jams. 
This cake recipe is very simple with ingredients I have in my pantry. I'm glad it's a success
